Memory, perception, mental gymnatics, beautiful and terrible

I’ll be reading Proust a long, long time now. In Search of Lost Time (of which this is the first volume) has seven volumes, all of which are long and every sentence (almost) complex. No one writes, has ever written like this imo.

It is justice that I arrive here. 22-something years ago I remember reading what someone else thought of Proust and determined I would never want to waste my time on this guy. I was sure I would never be so bored that I would have so much time on my hands. HA! I wish I had all the time in the world now and am bent in my work and in my off time on making time as maleable as possible.

Camus actually led me here describing Proust as the most artistic of the literary genius’.

If you have read In Search of Lost Time, please let’s talk.
